And for a drink after for those who don't have to drive back across the Pennines:

Any ideas?
Fighting Cock? (not your trendy wine bar but real ale  & real characters?) Is that just off Thornton Road? I'm sure Tim et al can get lift with those driving.
Depends what you're looking for - I know Bradford pretty well.  Fighting Cock is good.  New Beehive also good for "character".  There's a Wetherspoon's not too far from Mumtaz which is ok.  Bradford doesn't have much to offer for upmarket/ trendy types. That's why I avoid it. :)
Fannys Ale House in Saltaire & Aagrah walking distance away?
Fanny's is my local and I love it... but Mumtaz is already booked and several miles from Fanny's (Chris H)
Just returned from Romania to see it is Mumtaz, good stuff,- Agree new Beehive also great -with gaslamps and assorted odd characters - beer can be variable - of course a 'crawl' between em a possibility??-eatherspoons OK but a Weatherspoons is a Weatherspoons - others more original to 'Bradford'
looking forward to this event W
@timrylands and @sarahneild coming all the way from deepest darkest Zummerzet to Bradford for a curry ?!?!?! It had better be good :-D
Any suggestions as to where we might stay close by?

Hey - Tim et al
Great to see you guys will be coming! Haven't a clue where to stay as things have changed since I left my home town! I'm sure someone will be ablt to fill you in on somewhere nice!

Here's a link to the Midland hotel that we just talked about on the phone: http://www.peelhotels.co.uk/hotels/midland-hotel-bradford-yorkshire-england/

In city centre I reckon Holiday Inn Express might be good bet for cheap and clean http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/bfyvl/hoteldetail
If we're in Shipley the Ibis is OK http://www.ibishotel.com/gb/home/index.shtml
It has been confirmed that we are eating at Mumtaz
